If you uncheck this option powerpoint will compress all of the images in the presentation which overrides any changes you may have made to those images. Open the paste special dialog box. When the insert picture window opens see figure 2 locate the png file you want to insert into powerpoint and click the insert button.
On the file menu select save as.
Right click on the cloud and select save as picture. To customize which areas of the picture are kept and which are made transparent choose either mark areas to keep or mark areas to remove to designate parts of the photo that should remain or be deleted.
